East Coast girl...
…meets Central Coast wines.
Little did I know when I headed west from the Washington, DC metro area in 2008, that I would find myself by chance ...or more accurately by default...working in the California central coast wine industry. Unable to find work in my chosen field, I dusted off my Level 2 Sommelier certification from Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and landed a job in a Paso Robles wine tasting room. It was a match made in heaven, and the beginning of my love affair with the wines of the Central Coast of California.
I have never looked back.
My work in the wine industry has given me some insights into the local wine scene. As a result, I have become a consultant to my friends, who have encouraged me to put together this small, exclusive wine club featuring my local favorites.
I gravitate towards the smaller, boutique producers that are focused on quality, creativity and value. I love finding treasures that are a bit "under the radar". I am inspired to share these "Hidden Gems" with a small group of central coast wine-lovers so that they, too, can enjoy the bounty of the central coast wine region.
